A New Leaf recognizes that children thrive in a loving home with a strong support structure. To that end, our Foster Care programs provide a wide range of services on behalf of the communities' children, including those who are behaviorally challenged.
Foster Care
This program provides foster care licensure to those wanting to open their homes to foster children. Potential parents complete training and certification programs with ongoing support through required continuing education classes.

Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC)
This program matches experienced people interested in becoming licensed, Therapeutic Foster parents and/or Respite Providers. Children range from infancy to 18 years of age with high levels of behavioral, emotional & psychiatric needs. Provider benefits for both requirements:
- Monthly reimbursement
- Ongoing 24/7 support
- Allowances for foster child's specific needs
- Medical, dental and prescription coverage for the child
- Free initial and ongoing training
- GREAT REWARDS!
Provider requirements for both programs**:
- Must be 21 years of age, married or single
- Be fingerprinted & pass a criminal background check
- Submit a physician's statement as to the physical & emotional ability to care for a child
- Attend training
- Provide references and proof of income
- Pass a home inspection
**These are only some of the requirements to become a Foster Care/Respite Provider. Contact A New Leaf for more information and additional requirements.
