Karina Becomes an Advocate

Karina dealt with abuse for years, until she finally found help through A New Leaf and secured court ordered protection. Since then she has been a single mother to her son, attended law school, and opened her own business working with immigrants and low-income households.

Lonique Finds Safety and Security

Lonique had never been in an abusive relationship before. When she found herself facing a violent partner who kept her from leaving their home, she didn’t know how to get out. She used A New Leaf’s chatline to contact help and get into a shelter at an undisclosed location. Now she is working and providing for her children independently.
