Ellen DeGeneres Show Hosts Our Supporters Alpha Chi Omega

Breaking News!

A New Leaf’s wonderful supporter, Alpha Chi Omega at Arizona State University, appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” October 9 on NBC. The sorority spoke about A New Leaf and domestic violence awareness.

The Ellen Degeneres Show, TV’s top-rated talk and variety show, featured the sorority that made selfies famous. Shutterfly donated $10,000 to Alpha Chi Omega at ASU as announced on Friday’s telecast. The sorority will be giving those dollars to A New Leaf to support its domestic violence programs. We have been amazed and thrilled by all the media attention surrounding the sorority girls and their “selfless selfies!” The best part of this story is the impact all of the media buzz will have on helping domestic violence victims.

A New Leaf provides Arizona’s oldest operating domestic violence shelter, Faith House in Glendale, and a domestic violence shelter in the East Valley, Autumn House. Besides emergency shelter, A New Leaf provides transitional housing, childcare, workforce training, basic needs and court advocacy for victims of domestic violence.
