When a survivor calls A New Leaf’s SAFEDVS hotline, a staff member will always be available to assist. Our trained operators will immediately assess the level of danger in order to determine which resources would be the most helpful to the caller.
Every caller is assisted according to their unique circumstances, no matter what they may be. Some callers receive immediate police assistance, while others work with the operator to build a safe exit plan. Wherever you are on your journey to finding safety, A New Leaf will be able to help you plan for the future.
A New Leaf is able to provide or refer callers to a wide variety of resources that include housing and shelter, court advocacy and legal services, workforce training, and transportation assistance. All these critical resources help to make the decision to leave easier, safer, and more likely.
Importantly, we understand that leaving an abusive situation can be complicated and stressful. Our staff members are here to help you along every step of the way, doing away with uncertainty and fear. At A New Leaf, you will never be alone on your journey towards peace and healing.
