rent assistance

There are three ways you can currently reach out for rent assistance.

City of Mesa

For COVID-19 rent and mortgage assistance, Mesa residents can seek assistance through the City of Mesa. Please complete the application through the City of Mesa.

Mesa Community Action Network

Please contact MesaCAN on Thursdays from 2pm-2:30pm at (480) 833-9200 to talk to a case manager. You must reach a live person when you call who will provide instructions for receiving assistance. Please note hundreds of people are calling, so please be patient. We can only take a limited number of appointments when clients are calling. When the funding is gone for the month, we must stop taking appointments.

utility assistance

The MesaCAN office has utility assistance packets for pick up at 635 E Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZ 85204. We require that all members wear a mask and observe social distancing. MesaCAN can also mail a utility assistance packet to anyone requesting. Please call (480) 833-9200 for assistance.
