(Scottsdale, AZ) – A New Leaf received a record number of holiday gift items this week to benefit 150 children staying at A New Leaf’s shelters – all because of a generous donation from International Cruise & Excursions (ICE), Inc.
The local company, based in Scottsdale, received an outpouring of support from employees who donated holiday gift items – toys for children, movie passes, Walmart gift cards, holiday items – to provide to A New Leaf’s families and children. This year the donation drive has been so popular that a caravan of vehicles were filled up to deliver the items.
“The employees of ICE are incredibly generous and dedicated to helping the less fortunate,” said Michael Hughes, CEO of A New Leaf. “Our families at the shelter will benefit in a big way. This drive is a truly a blessing for families at the La Mesita Campus, as the families are financially challenged and stressed over finding the means to afford gifts.”
A New Leaf’s holiday gift program ends December 24, 2016. A New Leaf operates several shelters in the Valley, including the La Mesita Emergency Family Homeless Shelter, Faith House Crisis Shelter, Autumn House Domestic Violence Shelter, East Valley Women’s Shelter, East Valley Men’s Center, as well as family supportive housing and other community programs.
